Last of the Summer Peaches

Warm hot sunny days always inspire me to eat more salads and light meals and I'm sure many of you are the same way. So since our neighbours beautiful old organic peach trees have been showering our back lawn with peaches they seem to have become a bit of a staple around here.

Here are two recipes that you can make with the last summer peaches and as autumn starts approaching {can't say I'm quite ready for that yet} you can use pears instead.

Natural Beauty

Styling a dinner party should be fun and easy. Here are a few tips and ideas to creating a gorgeous rustic setting {with a little dose of pretty} that your guests will rave about.

{FLOWERS}
Lisianthus
Antique hyrdangeas
Rosemary
Seedum
Green hypericum {berries}
Lambs ear
Succulents
Mandevilla suaveolens {fragrant climber}

{OTHER BITS}
Lace
Twine
White & natural linen napkins
White or natural hand made paper
Vintage amber coloured jars
White or cream plates
Cutlery & wine glasses {to suit your menu}

Enjoy styling your next dinner party!

When choosing your flowers don't be afraid to mix it up a little. Buy a few different
varieties in different shapes and sizes, this will give you some added interest & texture.
Just remember to keep your colour tones similar.

Linen is a fantastic backdrop for a beautiful rustic setting whether it be a tablecloth, runner or
napkins. To give the look a softer, prettier feel add a little lace.

Don't you love turning up to a small dinner party where the host has made an effort to
set the table with name cards.  We made ours using beautiful textured hand made paper and
the good old home printer.  I'm loving the succulent card holder. So simple!

Flowers - We used a mix of large tropical leaves, bamboo, lotus pods, orchids, white hydrangeas, roses,
tuberose (for an amazing scent), succulents, mossy twigs, eucalyptus (for texture) and bright green amaranthus (for a splash of colour).

Drink - Lots of bubbles
