Natural Beauty

Styling a dinner party should be fun and easy. Here are a few tips and ideas to creating a gorgeous rustic setting {with a little dose of pretty} that your guests will rave about.

{FLOWERS}
Lisianthus
Antique hyrdangeas
Rosemary
Seedum
Green hypericum {berries}
Lambs ear
Succulents
Mandevilla suaveolens {fragrant climber}

{OTHER BITS}
Lace
Twine
White & natural linen napkins
White or natural hand made paper
Vintage amber coloured jars
White or cream plates
Cutlery & wine glasses {to suit your menu}

Enjoy styling your next dinner party!

When choosing your flowers don't be afraid to mix it up a little. Buy a few different
varieties in different shapes and sizes, this will give you some added interest & texture.
Just remember to keep your colour tones similar.

Linen is a fantastic backdrop for a beautiful rustic setting whether it be a tablecloth, runner or
napkins. To give the look a softer, prettier feel add a little lace.

Don't you love turning up to a small dinner party where the host has made an effort to
set the table with name cards.  We made ours using beautiful textured hand made paper and
the good old home printer.  I'm loving the succulent card holder. So simple!

Working with Colour

For someone who loves white on white with, you guessed it, an extra helping of white (oh and a dash of black) I have to admit working with colour is a lot of fun.
You just can't walk past a combo of pink and orange blooms and not feel happy.
These amazing blooms, and quite a few others were used in a shoot for New Zealand Weddings magazine due out early next year - so just around the corner really.

Can't give too much away, but if you want some colourful inspiration for your wedding keep an eye out for the next issue.

Meanwhile grab a bunch of pink and orange blooms for home today and start smiling, it's contagious!
